A ruling is expected soon in a lawsuit accusing Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus of abusing endangered Asian elephants. I believe they are guilty. I saw some of the video clips on Good Morning America this morning and they have guilty written all over their forehead. It’s horrible.

May 20, 2009Pregnant women and Swine FLU
May 13, 2009If you are pregnant, you should take prescription flu medicines if you are diagnosed with the Swine Flu. In general, flu adds risks for pregnant women. Pregnancy weakens a woman’s immune system, so that she’s more likely to get pneumonia when she catches the flu. In earlier flu situations, infection also raised the risk of a premature birth.
Nancy Pelosi and Waterboarding
May 13, 2009Nancy Pelosi admitted to being told in February 2003 that waterboarding was being used on CIA detainee Abu Zubaydah. Pelosi didn’t object when she learned that waterboarding was being used, but only her aide had been told. Pelosi admits to attending one briefing in September 2002. But at a news conference last month, she was being adamant that she didn’t know waterboarding was being used. I think she was lying about the whole thing. Some Republicans hae asked for Pelosi to testify at congressional hearings. Since Nancy Pelosi did not object when she learned that waterboarding was being used, she must’ve known it had been going on. I mean, who doesn’t know about waterboarding? Overall, I think she was lying and she did know waterboarding was going on.
Mexico Soccer No More For A While
May 5, 2009All pro soccer games in Mexico are being played without fans because of Swine Flu. 3 games around the capital were closed to fans the week before. The Mexican Soccer Federation said that on Tuesday the games would still be closed because the government had not raised all measures that prevent it. Regular season play ends this weekend, and officials have not announced what they’re doing in the post season.
I feel sorry for all those faithful Mexico fans.
Until next time,

Sweet Jesus – The Swine Flu in Alabama (possibly)
April 29, 2009The Alabama Department of Health is testing samples of what might be swine flu from patients in Baldwin County, AL. Local doctors think those patients may have swine flu. This truly scares me. Because if they do have swine flu, it may spread up towards the Birmingham metro area. And I really do not want to get the swine flu. But apparently I’m young and strong so I won’t get it. Who knows.
Until next time..

Facebook application not doing so well..
April 22, 2009The Facebook application Causes, popular among nonprofits, has been really ineffective in the last two years. Obama’s campaign did really well. In myopinion, if these nonprofits aren’t really raising ANY money they should just give up and quit their nonprofit on Facebook. Until next time.

Immigration – completely forgot
April 15, 2009Immigration has had an effect on my community in a way that my last high school always had new students that were latino and/or hispanic. I mean there were other races too, but my school the majority of the kids were black or latino so white was the minority.
New York governor to bring same sex marraige bill
April 15, 2009In Albany, NY Gov. David Paterson said, this week he’s going to introduce legalizing same sex marraige. Paterson said, “there is clearly a problem” when gays and lesbians in civil unions are rejected 1,200 to 1,350 civil protections like health care and pension rights because they’re not married. This is still very controversial in NY. Until next time.

Vermont Legalizes It – Yay!
April 7, 2009Vermont becomes the fourth state to legalize same sex marraige. Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Iowa are other states that have legalized it but their legalization came from the courts. While Vermont’s legalization came from the legislature. Congragulations is all I have to say.
I’m very excited for those people, I hope they are too. Until next time.

The Final Four – GO UNC!
April 1, 2009I have been a die hard Tar Heel fan since I was 2. So, in my heart I have a pretty good feeling about the next game. We can do it! I’m so glad Duke didn’t make it. That would’ve been terrible. I really don’t have much to say in this post, but I’m supporting UNC 110% of the way – GO UNC!!!!!
Until next time.
